Learn how to draw quick gestures as well as realistic human bodies, including hands and heads — great practice for art school portfolios! Practice drawing accurate human proportions, challenging angles and anatomy. Lesson recordings and assignments for each week will be released on the dates below:

🗓️ Figure Drawing 2 | Apr 25 - May 30, 2025
Learn advanced techniques and concepts for figure drawing such as shading, form, foreshortening and drawing bodies in difficult angles and perspectives. Learn detailed anatomy and how to dynamic poses and clothing. Lesson recordings and assignments for each week will be released on the dates below:

Note: Although they are recommended to be taken together, you may choose to attend Figure Drawing 1 or Figure Drawing 2 separately.
If you'd like to attend a single week, you may register for a drop in on that date. Drop ins are also invited to attend the LIVE critique!
🤓 What to Expect in Class
Each lesson will cover fundamental figure drawing techniques and concepts to ensure students develop a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and structure. In this 6 week program, you will get:
✍️ 1 assignment each week (released every Friday at 10 am ET) for 5 weeks. Expect to dedicate 3-4 hours per week to complete the video lessons and assignments
🔴 1 LIVE group critique session on the Friday of the 6th week held at 3 - 4pm ET. This session may be extended if there are more registered students, and the recording will be posted.
📥 If you cannot make the live session, you may still submit artwork and questions for feedback and advice from the instructor (roughly 15 minutes per student) as part of the recorded group critique.
💬 Personal feedback, notes and drawovers on your submitted artwork via Google Classroom.
📚 Curriculum / Learning Goals
This asynchronous program is suitable for teens and adults looking for an in-depth study of human anatomy, and is ideal for art portfolio preparation! Enjoy flexible learning throughout the week with personal critiques on submitted artwork.
Build speed and accuracy in figure drawing techniques. Highly recommended for art students developing their portfolio for illustration, animation, entertainment design or fine art.
