If you love drawing original characters, this is the program for you! Learn the creative process behind designing unique and memorable personas with exploration exercises and fan art mashups to discover character art! 🗓️ Character Design 2 | Apr 23 - May 28, 2025
Explore advanced concepts for character design, such world building, character rotations, shading and realistic colouring techniques. You will develop your own character rotation sheet with individual feedback and guidance throughout the process! Lesson recordings and assignments for each week will be released on the dates below:

Note: Although they are recommended to be taken together, you may choose to attend Character Design 1 or Character Design 2 separately.
If you'd like to attend a single week, you may register for a drop in on that date. Drop ins are also invited to attend the LIVE critique!
🤓 What to Expect in Class
Each lesson will cover advanced concepts for character design and the creative process, guiding students to develop unique and memorable original characters. In this 6 week program, you will get:
✍️ 1 assignment each week (released every Saturday at 10 am ET) for 5 weeks. Expect to dedicate 3-4 hours per week to complete the video lessons and assignments
🔴 1 LIVE group critique session on the Friday of the 6th week held at 3 - 4pm ET. This session may be extended if there are more registered students, and the recording will be posted.
📥 If you cannot make the live session, you may still submit artwork and questions for feedback and advice from the instructor (roughly 15 minutes per student) as part of the recorded group critique.
💬 Personal feedback, notes and drawovers on your submitted artwork via Google Classroom.

This asynchronous program is suitable for those looking to explore the art of character design in depth, and ideal for art portfolio preparation! Enjoy flexible learning throughout the week with personal critique on submitted artwork.
